Garware Technical Fibres Ltd, is technical textiles company. Incorporated on 1 Apr.'76 in Mumbai. Garware Technical Fibres formerly Garware-Wall Ropes Limited, Garware-Wall Ropes was promoted by Garware Filament Corporation and Wall Ind. Inc, US. In 1987, Wall Ind. divested its shareholding which was taken up by the promoters. The Company provides solutions in aquaculture cage nets, fishing nets, synthetic yarn, sports nets, safety nets, agricultural nets, coated fabrics, polymer ropes, geosynthetics. cordage, twine and polypropylene multi-filament yarn.
The company entered into a technical collaboration with Toyo Kogyo, Japan, to manufacture fishnet webbing machines. Its fisheries solutions include trawling, gill netting, dole netting and purse seine. Aquaculture solutions include grow out cage/nursery, predator cage and lice shields. The company finalised a joint venture with a Danish company to set up a 100% EOU to manufacture braided wires.
Shipping and industrial solutions include mooring, towing, power transmission, submersible pumps, specialty ropes and fall protection. Agriculture solutions include protected cultivation, hail protection, water storage and harvesting. Yarn and threads solutions include doll hair, woven sack and weaving. Sports solutions include sports net and fitness rope/battle ropes. The Company’s geosynthetics solutions include reinforced soil structures, coastal and river protection works and gabion gravity retaining walls.
