Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd was incorporated in July 1975 by Shri kamal Nayan Saraogi (Chairman Emeritus). Now Smt Minakshi Saraogi (Padmashri) is the mentor of the company. Balrampur Chini is Kolkata based and one of India’s largest integrated sugar manufacturing company. The principal activity of the Company is manufacturing and sale of sugar. It also manufacturing and marketing of Ethyl Alcohol & Ethanol generation and selling of power and manufacturing of agricultural fertilizers. The Company has sugar crushing capacity of approximately 76,500 tons of cane per day, Distilleries possessing an aggregate capacity of 520 kilolitres per day and saleable co-generation capacity of approximately 163.20 megawatts.
Balrampur Chini is engaged in the manufacturing of sugar, ethanol and power. The Company's segments include Sugar, Distillery, Co-generation and Others. Its allied business consists of manufacturing and marketing of ethyl alcohol and ethanol, generation and selling of power, and manufacturing and marketing of organic manure. Its products include molasses and bagasse.
The Company has over 10 manufacturing units at Balrampur, Babhnan, Tulsipur, Haidergarh, Akbarpur, Rauzagaon, Mankapur, Kumbhi, Gularia and Maizapur in Uttar Pradesh. The Company's subsidiary is Indo Gulf Industries Limited. Balrampur Agro Industries (P) Limited and Vivek Agro Industries (P) Limited became subsidiaries of the Company in the year 1980. Vivek Ganna Pvt Ltd. Ganna Agro Pvt. Ltd. Maharajaganj Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Stuti Agro Pvt. Ltd. became subsidiaries of the Company during the year 1986.
