Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd is an Ahmedabad, Gujarat based India's largest private multi-port operator was initially incorporated as Gujarat Adani Port Ltd on May 1998 to develop a private port at Mundra on the West Coast of India. It is a part of the Adani Group, an integrated infrastructure corporation.. The Company is engaged in the business of developing, operating and maintaining the Port and Port-based related infrastructure facilities, including Multi product Special Economic Zone. Its segments include Port and SEZ Activities, and Others.


Its Others Segment mainly includes Aircraft Operating Income and Services. The Company also provides logistics and infrastructure that moves goods from the port to customers. Its port services include marine, handling intra-port transport, storage, other value-added and evacuation services for a range of customers, primarily terminal operators, shipping lines and agents, exporters, importers and other port users. The categories of cargo handled at the Company's ports are bulk, containers and crude oil.

The company commenced operations at Mundra Port and currently operates 10 ports in India comprising 45 berths and 14 terminals across 6 states[5] at locations Mundra, Gujarat, Hazira, Gujarat, Dahej, Gujarat, Tuna Port, Gujarat (Terminal), Mormugao Port Trust, Goa (Terminal), Vizag, Andhra Pradesh (Terminal), Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu, Ennore, Tamil Nadu (Terminal), Dhamra, Odisha, Vizhinjam, Kerala. The Company holds Category 1 License for Indian Railways that helps in pan-India cargo movement. Adani Ports and SEZ provides Dredging and Reclamation solutions, primarily for port and harbor construction. The Adani Group started investing in developing a dredging fleet in 2005. At present, APSEZ operates a fleet of 19 dredgers which is the largest capital dredging capacity in India.
