Abbott India Ltd is an Indian subsidiary of the American worldwide healthcare company, Abbott Laboratories, with its head office in Mumbai, was originally incorporated as Boots Pure Drug Company (India) Limited on August 22, 1944 under the Companies Act, 1913. ... On October 31, 1995 the company's name was changed to Knoll Pharmaceuticals Limited, and finally – on July 1, 2002 – to its current name, Abbott India Limited.
